The Tragedy of Vera Claythorne

Vera Claythorne, having gone through four straight days of psychological torture on the island, watching everyone around her die and ultimately being forced to kill off someone herself, is now on the verge of madness and as she looks back on the events leading up to this point, little by little she is losing the will to live.
The song used is "Kanashimi no Mukou e", which is the credit song for three of the bad endings from the game "School Days", and the insert song during the anime's bloody conclusion. To make sure the events in the clips make more sense, here are the lyrics in English:

How did the ending go? Oh! That's right! "One lonely soldier boy all alone, he went and got married and then there were none.

The ending was SO heartbreaking, I was for Verra going all the way, but I thought that when she was to be hanged, something would save her, but no, killing that boy sent her over the edge...
