I agree with him that the world is going to get worse. It sucks. I think it's good that he can see beyond this earth b/c Jesus tells us to focus on eternity. But I think he is depressed. Wanting to die is not a natural state of being. Jesus does not want us to be depressed. He is the light of the world, & he is our joy. I like how you addressed Tony. You did it with kindness & did not belittle him. I hope that he can keep his faith in God, without being depressed, & learn his purpose in Christ.
