The car's engine may be not the strongest ever, but believe me, it is ok. The suspension is perfect, it is made by Lotus. The look and the rarity makes it one of the best classic car.

Looks like this car has no redeeming value aside from its charm. Poor acceleration, crude suspension, outdated technology. Don't get me wrong, I like it and for its price, I'd get one as a cruising car to take out once in a while, but not as a primary vehicle. It's just plain dangerous by today's standards. Given that at the same 20-sh grand I can get a well cared for pre-owned BMW 7 series, guess, which one is going to be first on my list...

I do not use it as a daily driver. It would be a suicide on long term, but for a hobby car, it is the best.

Lol, I'm so sick of people commenting about how bad this car is. Look, of course it's not a good sports car, that's part of the reason it failed! Yes, the engine, suspension and other parts are bad. Yes, it looks ridiculous. But it's the most unique and most recognizable car I can think of and it's the cheapest and rarest collector's car you'll find available. If you don't like it, that's fine. But for people like a me, this is "the dream." I hope to own one after college!

@parahumanoid 7 Series Beamer would also depreciate. ~$20k flushed right down the toilet. The BMW would also blend into the nothingness wherever it goes. Not just forgettable, but utterly unnoticeable. People slam on their brakes and break their necks trying to look at a Delorean on the road. Throngs gather around a Delorean during a milk run to the store.

They don't invite BMWs to be in parades. Kids don't have posters of 7 Series'. Nobody dreams to own a used BMW.

BMWs are nice though!
