samsung... their phones their tablets their computers, none of their products are of good performing quality and none of their products have any effort put into their construction, il never understand how a device made by samsung can show all the "best" specs but... perform like garbage :P their soul focus is money, i use to work for them... they manafacture their products with cheap components and thus the cause for their crappy performance. SONY win.

Excellent review of this laptop. Would you or another channel you might know of though be doing a review of the newer i7 processed Samsung model NP900X3A-B04CA? It must be better better than the i5 system, but I'm curious about benchmarks, battery life, and other such things before I look into buying one.
-
do you only do samsung laptops? i am new to this channel

Jason, i would just like to let you know (incase samsung didnt tell you) that when you put it into sleep mode it pretty much powers off, unlike the macbook air, hence it takes a rather long time to turn on again, but therefore it saves alot of battery life

dude, u installed like 4 seperate different web browsers on this laptop and u expect the laptop to boot in less than what u already got? u have IE, Chrome and Firefox there and each takes a lot of time to load when u boot the system, its always depends on how many programs u installed and the size of them, also if u go to run and type in msconfig then u can disable the useless programs to stop running on startup.

@ThoughtsMedia I think it has something to do with the low voltage processor that this laptop is taking more than 3 seconds to wake up from [hybrid] sleep. I own Samsung QX410-J01 with a Arrandale i5 processor and a Crucial M4 SSD, and almost all the time laptop wakes up from sleep within 3 seconds.

6:15 Interesting... LOL
Hi Jason, nice review, but I dont remember seeing anything about the (very questionable) WiFi issue which has been talked about in forums on the web.
Also some have big issues typing with the large touchpad...
Did you test either of these things/ have any comment on them?
Thanks,
Mark.

@fredphoesh Hmm. I honestly didn't notice any problems with WiFi - and I ran the Really Refreshing Web browsing test on it at least ten times...so that's approximately 50 hours of Web surfing. If it would have disconnected, the tests would have failed. So from my perspective, there is no WiFi issue. I didn't do a lot of typing on it, but when I did type, I didn't notice an issue with the touchpad. Some people have a knack for palming the touchpad, some don't.

What camera did you use to film this review? I found the sound quality of this review a bit different to your others.
Thanks,

@smartbotX I used my Canon HF-100, but I did boost the overall gain on the audio by 6dB in post because I found it to be a bit quiet. I'm surprised you noticed. :-)

wake up time does not performance make.

@MASTURCHEEF001 Thank you for chiming in Yoda. :-) Wake up time is part of the experience using the laptop. I got used to opening the Macbook Air and being able to use it right away - it's a nice thing. Samsung and Microsoft need to do better.
