I wonder if the music beginning at 0:40 is the original soundtrack for the 1940 cartoon "THE EARLY WORM GETS THE BIRD".

This was a "party reel", produced by and for the amusement of the Schlesinger staff for a 1939 Christmas banquet. The three caricatures in front of the crowd {a satire on "The March Of Time"'s opening title} at :16 are, of course, Leon Schlesinger, Henry Binder and Ray Katz. Voice-overs include Mel Blanc, Sara Berner (famous for her "Hepburn" impression) and Tex Avery himself. The stripper at 3:39 was rotoscoped for two sequences in Tex's "Cross Country Detours" (1940).
