I HAVE TREID EVERYTHING WITH THIS HORSE, HAVE BEEN BACKING HIM FOR 2 YEARS NOW!!!!
EVERYTHING WE DO IS FOR A REASON!
IF YOUR GOING TO MAKE A NEGATIVE COMMENT DONT BOTHER AS IVE HAD ENOUGH OF IT NOW...
YOU WILL BE BLOCKED!!!

my horse does this every time he is ridden, once the rider come off and gets back on he is fine! lol. you have to be patient though, cuz he lurs u in2 a false sense of security first!
he was beaten as a baby to be gelded, i sent him to various people as i could not touch him for 2 years, i was told over and over to have him shot!
eventualy sent him to a natural horsemanship person who made him handleable,
he can be ridden normaly in blinkers but is other wise a very well behaved and well mannered horse to handle,
the rider has his reins tight as if he doesnt he bucks and twist and you will fall off.
we r working on him still and he is improving! slowly but surely,
i will not beat him so stop commenting saying to do so!
hope u enjoy the viewing, lol x

AND..... WE CAN NOW RIDE UP AND DOWN THE YARD WITHOUT ANY BUCKING OR REARING!!!
SO BEFORE YOU SAY I DONT KNOW WHAT IM DOING I DO, LOL, AND HAS BEEN 2 1/2 YEARS SO NOT RUSHED HIM AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!

THANKS TO ALL THE SUPPORTERS... :D

  • Sounds like you did well with him :P Love the dismount :D If you still have him how is he doing?

  • Nice emergency dismount!

    :)

  • Try to remove tension by half mounting, pets, dismount and walk him a few feet. I know it may seem wrong but loosen the reins. This will help reduce resistance. Next when he is relaxed mount and ask him to bend left and right. Look for signs of relaxation such as lowered head or licking and chewing. Then when he is ready ask him to walk off at an angle. Hope this helps.. Good luck!

  • He is beautiful!

  • i train horses which ar badly behaved, i'm pleased to see that you don't beat your horse and are tacking things nice and slow with him. i used to have a warmblood which does what yours does, and it looks from here to be a similar problem, of being cold backed, try riding with your weight out of the saddle then slowly sit down on him after a couple of mins. if you found my advice helpful and would like any more please feel free to contact me.

  • i would have someone holding him and when you go to walk have that person treat him.... that is if ya wann get him use to being ridden without the blinkers. its just an idea but nice riding... he looks good form what the viedo shows.

  • I re-trained a similar horse in Ireland. He came back from a fair covered in welts and cuts. Every time someone had tried him he'd freak out and do anything to dump the rider, ended up being beaten for it. A friend bought him to save him from slaughter. I retrained him for her, took me about two months of spending roughly 4 hours a day with him and he was sold to a boy who'd been riding for 6month and they went to Grade A together :)

You just need to find the right way with your boy! Good Luck!

  • well done for landing on ya feet!!!

  • i hope that helped! xx

  • ok at first i was like how flippen annoyin could u get! but as soon as i read the description i took back my words, keep it up, don't give up and as they say! *those who hurry are first to fall* as in like, try not to give up or rush your pony into what he isn't ready for! and congrats, good luck and u WILL get there, keep thinking every time your with ur pony, say we will get there! and try to brush and spend more time with him on the ground! xx :D :P :)
