OIL SEPARATION GRAVITY AND MIXING

This was done in a workshop and simply to show that oil separates quite quickly when you add water to it.
A syringe was used to add the water and then we waited to see how quickly the separation would occur. It happened quite fast. The oil we used was motor oil.
Then we mixed using a high speed electric mixer to create an emulsion but although the emulsion changed the color of the oil it was still evident that separation was occur was occurring pretty quickly.
