17" Largemouth Bass - Kent Lake, Kensington Metro Park

Kayak bass fishing July 18, 2010, on Kent Lake. I covered about half of the Lake over a 6 hours\ period and was surprised by the diverse fishing the Lake offers. There were rocky bottoms, stumps and downed trees, thick weedy sections, and lily pads. Caught several other small largemouth and one smallmouth. It's nice fishing on a larger lake mid-day without jetskis, waterskiers, etc.

@Bassoholic713 south of milford, east of brighton, right along north side of I-96. can't miss it. and i highly suggest you download google earth; it's invaluable to fishermen for exploring new areas/lakes. also be sure to click the "clock" logo in google earth, it lets you view historical aerials and you can see what weedlines look like during various years/seasons.

@Deflection yeah, I saw two dudes beat a pike to death the other day at Kent Lake's west boat launch area. Then they just tossed the fish back into the water. I asked them why they did it and they replied, "He was scaring away all the Bluegill!" I'm fairly certain they were fishing to put food on the table because anyone that's that stupid couldn't possibly be employed.

Yeah we have a winner! He actually release the fish back into to water, not like some other people that keeps everything they catch, even if it's not legal size. Good job, keep the videos coming!
