the alpha-omega has long since been bred out of our dogs. intimidation in training could lead to aggressive behavior later because of the stress it causes the dogs. POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT, please. Not a 'tap'.

I tried the food thing on my dog and he bit my foot! Haha

At no point did I explicitly state or imply that humans and dogs are the same. However, I do agree with your statement that people are quick to anthropomorphisize non human beings and it causes several problems in how they relate to the animals; in this case, dogs. An excellent collection of essays on the matter is available online or at your local bookstore. It is called "The Culture Clash" by world renowned dog trainer Jean Donaldson.

@paulcottman a child is human..a dog is an animal....helloo?? anybody there?? all of u ppl r humanizing animals which make them unstable then u cage them or u put them to sleep ...no i think a kick is better than a lethal injection....go buy a cat

I am a Dog whisperer and learned from CM.
1st off Cm didn't use the back tap here he used his hand. she did the foot.
But Cm has got bite 1 time on camera from using a back tap move and I got 1 dog mad but dog miss the bite on me.
If your Dog is aggressive then I recomend getting a professional before using these techniques

its not kick at all, there is not power in it, its just a touch with feet

it's not a "kick" to hurt,it's more like a unexpected push that comes out of nowhere. i guess it breaks their focus enough for them to see that they aren't the one who is going to control the owners.

I adopted around a year ago a lovely 6 years old Golden Retriever, she is very sweet and I don't regret adopting her, but when it comes to try walking her the start is way too difficult and hurtful for me because she jumps at me in her excitement. Once she is not excited anymore it is a piece of cake, but no matter how many techniques I try, even this technique, it just doesn't work.

@illyas1 i have to kids i have moved them or when im doing something and they want to get in there to i move their hands til they get the point that i dont want them touching what im doing and thats what hes doing. and my kids and myself thing im a great parent as well as other bc my kids are well mannered.. and ive been doing this to my dog and its helping i cant put my hands on her bc she will bite out of excitement so i turn around and give her a light touch with my foot and it works great.
The same people who say that tiny little foot tap was a "kick" are probably the same people who think you should never ever punish a child

There's one thing i want to say about him. I think he's great. I don't know whats up with you guys to say like o my gosh he's kicking him, some of the dogs are really aggressive or just too overexited. What about the humans that could get hurt. I think his techniques are great, even when he needs to "touch" them. He could better do a touch so there no one will get hurt...
