Why is it so hard to find this version of the song?

@1acroyear1 I don't know. I found an old vinyl lp in the 80's. It has the theme and many other songs from the series. It says "radio station copy. not for sale!

This is the theme song I remember too. I never liked the newer version and I still don't. I kept coming up with that newer version as I searched - I'm glad this is posted.

By the way - this was a wonderful show.

Thanks. This is the theme I remember. I'm 43 now. Back in 1974, I sent in to BBM to get a pen pal from Egypt. Instead, they sent me one from Cleveland!!! I love to tell this story! :-) It really happened!
