The Trinity College Bantams took a lead late in the fourth quarter, and went on to defeat NESCAC rival Amherst College for their 39th straight home win at Jesse/Miller Field (aka "The Coop"). Trinity fans had plenty to cheer about at the homecoming game, as the Bantams are the first team to stop Amherst this season. The matchup was crucial in the NESCAC standings, as Trinity's hopes for the NESCAC Championship stay alive. Amherst, the defending league champions, had won 14 straight games heading into the match after an undefeated season last year.
