HISTORY OF THE VIDEO AND WEB-SITE

Manufactured by Lloyd's Ships Brisbane 1986 . Cosmos is still considered one of Australia's most luxurious and recognizable private vessels .

The high finish cream gloss light interior , is what set Cosmos apart from all other private vessels before her .

Another major change in design replaced the traditional galley with a much larger more friendly home kitchen.

A home style kitchen instead of a galley was ground breaking at the time . This is where the master bedroom would have been.

Standing in the master stateroom was hard to believe you were on a boat . By using light colours instead of dark woods , Cosmos gave the appearance of being much larger inside than other vessels of the same size.

The extensive uses of mirrors through out Cosmos was another cleaver way to enhance the feeling of space.

Only the best Travertine Marble was used in all 4 bathrooms onboard this floating 5 star luxury palace.

Even the guest stateroom/s were of the highest standards. A special imported fabric called chintz was used extensively throughout the ship. Everything was custom made , including the bed-spreads.

You know you are on a ship ( not a boat ) when you can walk into a full height engine room . Cosmos is powered by Twin MTU Turbocharged diesels totalling 2000 hp , with a third Mercedes Benz generator producing 75,000 watts of power to keep all the air-conditioning and electrical requirements alive 24 / 7 . Another great feature was the 3000 litre per-day fresh water Desalinator.

The Captains Bridge was like walking onto the SpaceShip Enterprise . Cream Leather was used everywhere.

The low rake windows looked like a futuristic space craft . An amazing private vessel indeed.

Having featured in movies and lifestyle shows , it was the first boat of its size to have a fully operational private Helipad . Cosmos set the standards for all mega yachts to come .
