Teehee yes I am self taught... But I think I improved a lot since then.. that was over two years ago I think. :) My band director is giving me pointers now.

You said you're self-taught. I also wanted to learn how to play the piano without going to a music centre (it's too far from my home). Can you share with me how you manage to play so well? I'd really appreciate it!

Well, first off, I already knew how to read music since I'm a percussionist. Second, I bought one of those keyboards with the screens that shows you fingerings for simple songs. Once I got used to it, I started going to harder songs. I've been playing for 3 years now and I'm still self-taught, though I might be getting a teacher. That's really all I can help you with. But I would recommend getting lessons. Try to find a place closer to you.
