Community Mediation Center, Kansas City - Stop Bullying

Founded in 2000, The Community Mediation Center (CMC) is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization providing mediation services, facilitation and training to individuals and organizations, at a reasonable cost.

Trained staff at CMC work with school staff to provide classes in anger management, bully prevention, conflict resolution, restorative justice, and peer mediation.

Teaching children and youth how to "talk it out" is a major part of what we do in schools. In the photos below, these children are practicing a skill that is taught in one of the 5 lessons: listening to understand. Our goal is to empower people to solve conflict in their lives, giving them lifelong tools they need to find peaceful solutions.
