This video, with Sourcefire Chief Scientist Zulfikar Ramzan, provides a high-level description of the Flame (AKA Flamer, sKyWIPer) malware toolkit that appears to be a state-sponsored cyberweapon. Flame has similarities to other threats like Duqu and Stuxnet, but primarily functions as an infostealer.

Nope, it's ran for 2 years, coded in LUA, compiled with a C++ program and it was intended to be a surveillance software targeted at important people. That's why the 20 MB of code is all about getting as much information out of the infected user.

Biggest possible problem for users regarding this new malware, is that it's been running for so damn long (possibly as long as 8 years depending on what you read). I heard it was also designed using some unconventional coding language from South America. I'm rather interested to see the fallout from this. It might have been just a test subject as well, if this thing was designed that far back I'm very interested to see what will pop up in the coming months/years.
