Zhivago-Kurt Rosenwinkel

Me playing Kurt Rosenwinkel's Zhivago (I love this tune!)I didn't read it I transcribed it from a couple of recordings I have. If you know this song well you'll hear the differences from the album. This is because I incorporated some of the things I heard him do live.

@fallenoffthestage Thanks! Well, when I started learning this I was new to Guitar and I didn't even know he had written the song in a different tuning! So this is all the normal EADGBE tuning :)

hey 1 question, how do you think this chord part (gbmaj7, ebm7 and other changes until change to the beginning part) when you are improvising ? like chord/scale ? or you do other stuff ? great playing by the way

@richoboss22 Thanks! I think of them as one scale BUT the question is; is it the Gb major scale or the Db major scale? My ear says Db major but a case could be made for either. I've been working on Soloing over this tune for a long time and the lines that seem to work best over the more busy sections are the arpeggios that delineate the chord at the moment. Besides the Gb-Ebm section and the F-Dm section, there isn't really one scale that's usable between any two consecutive chords. Tough tune!
