Cohiba Factory Store Santo Domingo Dominican Republic

Just for everyones knowledge: Im the guy BEHIND the camera. The guy talking is the Cohiba Manager. And yes it IS a Cohiba store thats grows in BOTH Dominican and Cuba.

I'm just the guy who got to drink in Santa Domingo and have a great Cohiba while the store guy told me about the place.

Here is the aging area for the Cohiba factory store in the center of the Colonial District of Santo Domingo. The cigars age from 6 months to two years before release.

Well considering I filmed and i was in teh heart of Santa Domingo and it IS a Cohiba factory and Cohiba only I would have to say you dont knwo what you are talking about. btw - most cuban seed is actually DR.

@oscarchong I haven't had the sublime yet but I have had the edicion limitada 2004 and I found it to be not that great. Descent flavor but not the powerhouse I was led to believe. The cuban cohiba regular line is far better. And the Dominican cohiba I don't think they are that good either. I personally would rather have most anything by camacho in Honduras or the opus x from Dominican Republic. The cuban Bolivar line is really great though.

@dan3232 You DONT know what you are talking about: All these Cigars are made in Dominican Republic, therefore no Cohibas. Of course, they put Cohiba labels on their Cigars, and for sure, they are good stuff. But NOT Cuban!

@dan3232 im sorry but you are wrong pal, there is an issue about that, ´cause DR makes Cohiba but those are not the legit ones, the factory in DR is taking advantage in the embargo at the US and registered Cohibas name for use in the US only (General cigar), but the Cohiba legit factory (Cubatabaco) has a lawsuit on the DR factory.

Of course it's not a genuine Cohiba. Just because someone poaches the name, does not make it real or genuine in any way. A good DR cigar, but not a real Cohiba.
