Approximately 1965. A rare Alan Watts lecture where he talks about the nature of money, the economy, technological unemployment, the environment, human ego, and technological solutions.
The lecture has been edited for duration and audio quality.

  • I have noticed, there is another, Scotish, clever Alan Watts that looks like this GREAT Alan Watts. Interesting.

  • @BrankoBrankov His name is Alan Watt, and he ranks somewhere in the vicinity of david icke and alex jones.

I wish there wasn't that reverb. It sounds like horrible garage-band reverb turned to the max. I tried listening to this stoned last night and it just sounded so bad i had to stop and listen to a different one. It's likely that few people will notice it the same way i am, but his voice is usually very pleasing to the ears and this added verb is uncomplimentary. Is it an added verb?

I don't mean to be rude, but just thought i should mention :)

  • @ddaisychainn Not at all...it was recorded this way. Its probably is why it's not in any of his online collections that I could ever find.

  • Astoundingly prescient. Very timely post for today's events. Thanks!

  • I've never understood why this isn't obvious to so many other people.

  • @halfzombiehalfrobot excellent speech isnt it?

  • If you're into TZM check out R. Buckminster Fuller.

  • @Mezocosm Seriously, thank you so much for this. What a great orator, and so spot on. This will be the way forward.

  • @Mezocosm No, No,Nooooo! He is NOT in vicinity to David Icke and particularly Alex Jones. Alan Watt, to me, is a real GREAT philosopher, thinker, psychologist; he is almost mind expert... Moreover,England due to suppression of people's mind has NO many clever people left alive and like Alan Watt. And what he is talking makes sense to me. Alex Jones is a hysteric grand fear manger and a FRAUD! He might belong to jesuit org. or so.As for D, Icke, think he is similar but again in different way.
