If you like seabirds this is your Mecca! never seen as many, the atmosphere was amazing, bet it's eerily quiet out of season? This is a sort of part 2 to my other posted video "Flamborough Head Caves" just later in the day, just after high water(tides run SOUTH on the flood,NORTH on the ebb)the tide is not too much to worry about, you should always be able to paddle against it. The birds were mainly Kittiwakes, lots of new season fledglings, lots of Gannets near the arches, the usual gulls, plenty Rock Doves(pigeons),Guillemots&Razorbills, and at least 2 Puffins.

  • I didn't get on the sea the other day to go to Bempton from North landing so we just watched the brilliant birds flying from the cliff tops. It was awesome and can only imagine what it loks (and smells like) from the sea. Will defo go there another time though. Don't work too hard Frank!

  • @GRPLiningServices Can't understand why this area isn't more popular,it really is good,as you've seen, the bird life is second to none, and if You get blown out,a cliff top walk is certainly not the end of the world.Don't worry,I only occasionally work too hard ha ha,my body tells me when to ease up,and nowadays,I listen to it.

  • hi just wondering wer u lonched from as i go fishing of my kyak be graitful thanks dean

  • @hinzdean I launched from Flamborough North Landing,if you watch the "Flamborough Head Caves" it is part 1 of this.Take care at North Landing it is deceptively steep, and the sand on it when dry is amazingly slippy,I started going down, and the boat ran away with me,and it was only lightly loaded, there were a lot of people about, and I narrowly missed,a potential collision, which would have been at best hugely embarassing,at worst a hospital trip!

  • you pronounce it thonnick ....nice vid though

  • @peterkills Ah,I've got you know, where I live we have a Winwick pronounced "Winnick"Further up the coast Staithes is pronounced "Steers" where I live "steers" are what you go up when you go to bed! A very under-rated area this I think,I can tell with how few hits the videos get,I can heartily recomend it to anyone considering it,on the same outing I did Whitby, that was excellent as well,I will post a video of this sometime.
