your playing is not on par with your amp head.
-
What kind of guitar do you use?
-
The guy just walks in and starts playing drums, awesome..
-
that's what i call an amp... Keep rockin man!!!
-
when changed the tubes did you hv to do bias, etc or just plug and play ? Isn't it a fixed bias?
-
@LokiAashraya It actually was part of a song we played in that band at the time.
-
I owned both... they sound the same.... don't get fooled by the dumb hype that always insists that older gear sounds better... it isn't true

is this a real clackface? too many people paint there's and go "oh, you wouldn't even know the different" which i just think is bullshit.

Badass Silverwulf! How do you like the 5881s compared to regular 6L6? I have a set and to me they sound kind of dark.
nakedlungfish1 2 years ago
Thanks! Yeah, they are a little darker, but that's actually why I like them. They roll off the highs some, have a thick mid range, and they have very little bottom end which helps keep the bass in check on the Recto. I think Rectos sound best with V30's, but the high end and upper mids can get excessive if you don't watch your settings. I like to run my Presence a little higher than most, so the Sovtek 5881's let me do that without the sound becoming piercing.
