nuclear missiles are status symbols for these tinpots, it's having a rolls royce. We're talking about a guy who has lobster winched down to him whilst on the trans-siberian express. Danger level (to anyone outside DPRK: 0, suffering of DPRK citizens at the hands of this neo-feudalist: absolute.

During this oil leak he won't accept outside help because of a bill that was passed ages ago. And won't send out boats to fix it because he wants to make sure another oil leak doesn't happen. That's basically saying that your house is burning down but they won't send help because another house MIGHT catch on fire. That's not right. And it's only the black population in American who keep his approval ratings from going down.

What do you have against Bush? The fact that he attacked back when american blood was spilt on American soil? He and many other leaders would have done the same thing. His reasons once we didn't get out didn't make sence but that's just over protection. Rather be safe then dead. And Obama is much more a bad choice then bush.

China is huge and has fairly good relations with north korea.

lol north korea has an army of over 1,000,000 men!!! and there all very well trained and lets face it suicidal maniacks like the japs were in ww2, dont underestimate your enemy, thats why we the brits owned half the world, all the usa have got is a ton of debt and what 3 islands and a cold part of what should be canada where all there "secret" nuke launch sites are located to start armageddon
-
What the hell does that have to do with North Korea using nukes?
-

Nuke North Korea, it would make the world a better place.
Payback would be a b*tch if the US gave nuclear weapons to South Korea, Taiwan and Japan. We wouldn't have to give Japan Nukes, they could make them tomorrow because they get 40% of their energy from nuclear power plants. I wonder how China and Russia would feel about a nuclear armed Asia? Lets open the playbook if the neutered UN wants to nothing about the North Korea situation.

Johnny, the UN cannot do anything without the overt and public co-operation of the nation states that make up the UN generally, and the security council in particular. That is 90% of the UN's problem. However, the solution is not more nuclear weapons but less. All round.

Excuse me. I'll just be over here looking the other way while someone does the world a favour and assassinates him.
Shouldn't the UN have some secret agency to take care of people like him, Mugabe, al-Bashir et al?
...and I don't even believe in the death penalty.
It's a sad world sometimes.

I'm surprisingly sympathetic to this point of view, with a few caveats.
A decision to kill could only be taken after all other means (short of war) had been attempted. Summons, arrest warrants, kidnap attempts etc.
A decision to kill someone, needs to be taken publically, by an elected global parliament, and only where the individual in question poses a clear threat. The decision needs to be transparent and have a high degree of unanimity, perhaps as high as 70 or 80%.
