This bag has been constructed with devoted attention to detail. I have put in literally hours of work on this bag, a truly genuine labour of love. I want the new owner to really enjoy this bag for many years to come, so I have worked the best magic I know in its construction.
Designed with durability in mind, the 'Day Tripper' is an excellent companion for travel abroad to the orient so mysterious... or simply to the library cafe :)
Ideal protection for your iPad, with plenty of storage including strong and convenient pockets that might house flashlights/torches, rain ponchos, multi-tools, phone boxes, truck parts or the like (I am kidding about the truck parts and phone boxes).
Main compartment: 30cm x 22cm x 6cm (but it is quite flexible leather, so bulkier items can fit - including, albeit at a squeeze, a DSLR!)
This is truly beautiful leather, a lush deep brown honey colour. Interestingly, when you fold/stress the leather, it's colour changes to a lighter honey colour, but returns to normal colour when relaxed. Also, when scratched, it also flares a brilliant honey colour, but rub it with your thumb and it self heals, returning to the dark brown colour - GROOVY!
Each front pocket: 12 x 9 x 3 cm
Each side pocket: 10 x 6 x 3 cm
Includes a sturdy adjustable strap (strong enough to tow a stranded car I would bet!) Part of the shoulder strap is a removable shoulder pad.
All stitching by hand, all fittings are strong metal, joins are re-enforced by metal rivots.
Strong 'all Cow leather' (no whales were harmed in the making of this bag :P ) lined with plush, smooth real Cow suede. Hand stitched with heavy duty waxed cotton by yours truly. For extra strength, it is all stuck together with an industrial strength two part adhesive that gets you really out of your head if you forget to open the windows while you work with it (for those with less imagination - no, there is no glue smell as it has long since dried, just that nice musky new genuine leather smell...hmmm, new leather...).
