@CmanCorporations You don't want your supraspinatus rubbing on anything. That constant friction will lead to micro-tears, possible bone spurring, and more impingement. Thumbs down should not be performed on the impingement population until periscapular strength and scapular control has been established.
@razputin75 I know...that's why PT's are here to stay. Too many other disciplines doing things improperly and trying to put cookie cutter exercises on patients. Chiro's do their thing, but PT's are the true rehabilitation specialist.
Sorry but for shoulder impingement these exercises are not going to do anything but will further exacerbate symptoms. been there done that. shoulder impingement is about increasing the flexibility, ROM and increasing posterior muscles (of the back not rotator cuff) strength that will pull the shoulder back where it is supposed to be in the first place.
I know a lot about shoulder impingement, and those are not the exercises that I would teach to address the issue. I wouldn't start anyone with exercises against gravity, because it would exacerbate symptoms. I would teach proper periscapular activation and scapular glide to decrease tissue encroachment to the supraspinatus, long head of biceps, and other anterior GH tissue.
@kiefercatg With these exercises you are supposed to work within the level of pain. If it hurts, then stop the exercise and work within your painful limits.
Your "shoulder bones" are not popping. The popping you are hearing is from the, most likely supraspinatus tendon rubbing over your humerus...
@PTPLYR Thanks for the message. I sent you a reply.
And honestly, from your initial reply to this video.. It was pretty ignorant. These are the EXACT exercises a physio would tell you to do. This is obviously just a few examples or BASIC exercises you can do for shoulder impingement.
And if you know what shoulder impingement is, then these basic exercises make COMPLETE sense.
how often should you do this?

It would have been better if you started with a clip of the masturbating kangaroo.
