European Tower Pheasant shoot at Dunn Creek Outfitters http://www.dunncreek.net/
Tower shoots are where they release the birds from a centrally located tower in the middle of a 200 yard circle. there are twenty shooting stations around the perimeter. They release 10 birds, one at a time and they go whichever way they want, does not matter the direction they are initially pointed. Every manor of bank, u-turn, climb, pivot and glide was observed from these birds. Most were fast and high flying. After evert ten birds you move one station clockwise so you end up going all the way around the entire field1-1/2 times or more.
We were greeted with coffee and donuts in the morning before a pre-shoot briefing. Took from 9am til 1pm for the tower shoot. They spread out a huge lunch of seasoned pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes/gravy hot rolls, corn and nice Caesar salad. After lunch we broke up into small groups and they brought out the pointers and we walked up birds for 2 hrs. After that walk-up they had the teens working there clean and bone out all the birds, put them in ziplocs and ready for the freezer. Awesome day, thanks to Dunn Creek Outfitters for a memorable day out shooting with my son.
