Host: Martin, you have toured for a very long time, and now you are going to rest?

Martin: Yes, yes, for a long time.

Host: What do you do in that period? Just a holiday, or quickly going back into the studio and making a new album?

Martin: Certainly a holiday first.

Host: Where do you, a DM member, go on a holiday?

Martin: I live in Santa Barbara. That ís a holiday.

Host: You are right. A well deserved applause for this man's German, I wish my English was that good.

The second time I met Depeche Mode he revealed he was German speaking as well. This was back in 1985 (I think). We sat and had a few drinks during the night.
