Hey, Tina Fey, try to write something as crazy as this for your lame 30 Rock TV show!

Yeah, three good reasons to learn Krav Maga or carry pepper spray.

The keyboard used in the actual recording session was a vintage Hammond B3 organ. I was there! I sang on it and played shitty fuzztone guitar on it and lip synched it for the movie. One of my greatest moments. Anna Biller and I wrote the song and she played keyboards on it. The drummer was Sean Coffey. The other singer was Jared Sanford.

Check your clip, the kybd. is a Roland of a much later (mid-80's) vintage--you're referring to the actual recording, which was either a B3 or a B3 patch. I combed your site last night, and really like your work. This movie is very niche, but it's the one I've been in to for so long; so when's a dvd gonna be available?? And thanks for posting some clips!

Amazing stuff, can't get enough of Anna Biller's films.

Fantastic!
Oh, you're right! I didn't realize you meant the keyboard in the shot. In those days I couldn't afford to be so much of a fetishist about all the props. I'm going to have a shorts DVD available in a few weeks, and for VIVA it will probably be more like the fall. Are you named after Vampyros Lesbos? That is a great soundtrack!

The Roland keyboard is a period piece faux pas (and yes, it matters), but this stuff is still terrific...

It wasn't a Roland, it was a Hammond B3!! Glad you liked it though
