A presentation of an MIT Tradition, with the help of some of our fabulous "Choralums". From our 2008 Fall Concert.
"The Engineers' Drinking Song" has had a long history with the Chorallaries; we have sung Dave Bass's difficult and entertaining arrangement from the group's birth. It is one of the most requested songs that we perform (though "Africa" comes in at a close second), becoming our signature piece. From this profound relationship has sprung a multitude of original verses, with novel ones being written all the time. Visit our website at http://choral.mit.edu and peruse our list to find your favorite!
Don't give up! Wish you the best!

Yes! So have I. And the pictures one of the bloggers put up of the building recently have made me fall even more deeply in love. Oh, man...got deferred, so there is still (some) hope! *groans* Why is March so very far away?

Don't worry. Other than the date slip I am pretty good on MIT history :) Just out of curiosity, what's your Course number? If I get in I'd probably be most interested in Course 9.

I know :) I realized that a few days after my post and was heartily embarrased. Hmm...must have been thinking about that other school down the river, haha...Harvard was founded in the 1630s. Hopefully you are not an MIT admissions officer reviewing my application XD Thanks for correcting me.

@FirebirdSinging26 And also not up with your history. MIT wasn't around until the time of the Civil War.

Keep in mind that MIT was founded a LONG time ago...very likely when they adopted the song they WERE still British. PS don't get mad at me; I am a British dual citizen :)

This comment has received too many negative votes show
yanks shut up this is a british army engineers song, dont try to claim it, you have no history for it, youve borrowed it as usual.
