Only now some of the social movements in South American countries are winning their right to govern themselves without too much interference from the US, just the odd coup here and there...

The USA has been dumbed down for so long that the country is now dumb; people have virtually no grasp of critical thinking. This is a strong indicater of a society in decline and heading for oblivion." A society that exhausts everything for profit, always kills itself". That's us folks. Inverted totalitarianism.
