Phil Humber throws between innings during an August 6 Pacific Coast League game between the New Orleans Zephyrs and the Fresno Grizzlies. Humber was the first round pick (third overall player taken) of the New York Mets in the 2004 First-Year Player Draft out of Rice.
@nymets1fan It took him a while but he's finally looking like a breakout pitcher that he was always capable of being. He has now become a solid starter for the Chicago White Sox, with a 5-3 record, 2.87 ERA and 0.95 WHIP. I'm glad to see him succeeding, especially for my favorite team!
