Salt Lake City, Utah, USA - 1990 United States Figure Skating Championships, Ladies' Free Skate - Jill Trenary skated the performance of her life here, rebounding from a bad Original Program. • Um, those marks with a Zayak rule violation? 2 triple toes, neither in combination. Interesting....

  • @maxthewonderpup My belief is that since she stepped out of the 2nd triple toe loop, that many did not count that jump; and therefore, she did not violate the rule...

  • @maxthewonderpup She was obviously made aware of that error, as the first triple toe was done in combination at Worlds.

  • Excellent marks. Even a perfect 6.0. Wow! Only error was that step-out on the 3toe. Otherwise excellent skate.

  • @officeaddict33 OMG it's one of my all-time favorites! In fact, I intend to design my wedding dress (whenever my boyfriend FINALLY decides to ask) based on this - close-up, the detail work on this dress is esquisite! So glad I'm not the only one who appreciates Jill's amazing dresses - thank you Lauren Sheehan!

  • Great program but I absolutely LOVE that dress!

  • @twilliger123 - Hello. Yes, that's what genuine champions do. I'm not sure where your seats were. For the evening ice dance competition, Carlo Fassi came in and sat down with a small group just a few rows behind us. He was still beaming & smiling ear to ear. Maybe you saw him too. Best Wishes Always to you.

  • @mjcamck71 I was there too, it was amazing to watch her come back so beautifully!

  • Best skating performance of all time in my opinion!

  • My spouse and I were in the audience in Salt Lake City when, after falling on her double axel in the short program, Jill, a Champion through & through, pulled herself together for this excellent Free Skate. People jumped to their feet. Well Deserved. JILL TRENARY IS both EXQUISITE & SOPHISTICATED. There will probably never be another one like her. Let's all be grateful for films and, now, for You Tube. THANKS FOR POSTING!!
