Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge (1): Elec Man

"The Start of Something Small"

Handheld small that is. I'd been meaning to get around to the Game Boy games for some time now, and while I can't promise I'll do the whole quintology in one shot, I wanted to get this started. In this vid, I'll be tackling Elec Man, a boss whose been drastically dumbed down from his NES counterpart.

I want to do an informed playthrough, but I am worried about going overkill with the annotations. If it's a problem, let me know. In the meantime, cast your vote as to which level you want to see next between Cut, Ice, or Fire Man. I'm pretty confident I can tackle any of these three second.

Your videos should be used as the perfect example of how to do a "Let's Play" styled game. Plenty of annotations or subtitles, and absolutely no annoying voice commentary to get in the way of letting you hear the actual in-game music and sounds. Bravo!

the rockman/megaman games on game boy were not difficult. the first offers only a challenge if you don't know which weapon easily kills which boss and Megaman 2 was sooooo easy with it's energy tanks. Once you know how the weapons and gadgets work it becomes very simple. the nes games were much harder to finish.

love your footnote commentary. I remember this game being a nightmare when i picked it up. i was stuck at Cutman's stage for like 2 days, and it took me 5 more to completely master the Wily stages.

Actually, and you may have heard this already, but there's an easy way to deal with NES Elec Man. Face right when you enter the room and shoot him ONCE when he raises his arms. Repeat.
