"YOU CANNOT CALL YOUR COUNTRY SIMPLY 'MACEDONIA' BECAUSE I AM MACEDONIAN AND I AM NOT LIKE YOU!!!!"

In conclusion, I would say that the Macedonians were a heavily Hellenized confederation of ancient Thraco-Illyrians ethnosis( defo not Slavs as they wouldn't appear in Balkans for another 900 years)

In my opinion ancient Macedonia had been colonised by Greeks from much further South and helped to spread Hellenistic culture very early. Just as it happened in Archimedes's Sicily, Apulia, Calabria or Neapolis in Italia.

The Macedonians were not considered Greeks by the Attians, Thebans, Corithians etc..as much so to be called barbarians. We know the ancient Greeks only coined this word not for an uncouth person but a non-hellenic speaking person.

Macedonia was named even before Greece existed. The ancient Macedonians had conquered the Greeks as they conspired with the Persians to have the king of Macedon killed. This is hardly an action for a tribe to treat supposedly fellow countrymen!

@Kire931 Thank god there was Kiro Gligorov and Lubco Georgievski (former prime ministers of fyrom) saying that you are all SLAVS..not related with Alexander the Great, that you all arrived in the area of the Balkans in 6th century A.D. and that the name ΜΑΚΕΔΟΝΙΑ is related to Greece as its their northern state.

You can talk as much shit as you want but deep down inside you know that you are BULGARIAN. You cannot change your blood with propaganda, no matter how much of it, looser.
