@MisterBlue24 I can see if they couldn't afford it, I think taking it away for "sneaking in" was kind of cheap though, both mini series had it and then it was just gone and to me it just kind of took something away from the whole thing.

@clojap They decided to cut the voice effect for two reasons when V was picked up as a series. Mainly it wasn't cost effective. Apparently it was an expensive effect to do at the time. Secondly, the producers felt it would work better if the visitors had "normal" voices, that way they could blend in better with the humans and not be easily identified as visitors.

Funny how there are people who love the original 5-part V mini-series, but hate the TV show that followed. The problem with the TV show was that it started off as a great continuation of the story, but then started turning into more of a "Sci-Fi soap opera". It became less about the resistance vs. the visitors, and more about the drama between Lydia, Diana, & Charles, and other such nonsense. V started turning into a Days of Our Lives (with lizards). Only lasted 1 season.
