Now you have the power of a Hollywood special effects studio in your pocket (well, almost!).

Green Screen lets you create special movie effects and instantly share and show off your video creations on Facebook, Dropbox, email and others.

The app gives you the ability to use an effect known as Chroma Key or Green Screen in a simple, fun and quick way.

Simply choose a color in the viewfinder by tapping the screen and instantly replace it with a video of your choice.

Imagine replacing the sky with a scene from space showing a planet spinning or changing the view out of your window into Niagara Falls.

As well as built in videos, you can also import videos of your own. Amaze your friends by appearing in a starring role alongside your favorite movie or pop star. Or show them your holiday to the seven wonders of the world without actually having been there.

The app comes with the following videos built in:

o Tranquil beach with palm tree rustling in the breeze

Stay tuned a release has been submitted to the app store containing the following exciting new features that have been most requested:

o Now you can select multiple chroma key colors to remove any annoying pixel noise. Just tap on the colors you want to remove in the viewfinder. (3 by default up to a max of 4 colors)
o Use still images from your iPhone gallery!
o Front facing camera now supported! (select in the settings page).
o Upload videos straight to twitter (Twit vid)
o Setting presets ( Best FPS and Best Quality).
o Other bug fixes.

Can you select one of your videos/photos to put in the background?

@BrendanLikesApple46 You can use video and pictures on your iphone camera roll or you can import videos via iTunes by dropping them into the application file share window on the app sync tab.

The next major feature at some point will be offline chroma key meaning you have to wait after recording and the effect is applied.

Should mean 25 FPS at 720p resolution. It's a big change so will be early next year.

Can you take videos in your camera roll and change the background to that or can you only import videos as the background.

I wouldn't buy something if it didn't function perfectly while being demoed. Helpful hint. :-) Great idea though!
