the Mary Jane Girls lead singer was Jojo and the other girls were back up singers and dancers. they've tried to reform so many times and they can never lure Jojo to get back with them. too bad, i'd love to see them all reunite. same thing with the PCD's. Nicole was the lead singer and the band split up when the other girls wanted their own solo careers. so many egos get in the way and too bad the band only had 2 albums.

the Mary Jane Girls are the 80's version of today's PussyCat Dolls! love Maxi, Jojo, Cheri, Candi and Corvette! timeless music that sounds great 25 years later! and the late Rick James was the genius who put this all together and wrote so many great songs for them! too bad they only made 2 albums. interesting because the PussyCat Dolls only made 2 albums as well. when so many women get together to form a group there's a catfight to over who the star of the show really is.

You know what's so quirky now that I think about it, there have been many Songs titled Boys. David Bowie, The Beatles, and even Britney Spears all have used this title.

@papiblatino I know what you mean. The Pussycat Dolls and The Spice Girls couldn't hold a candle to these Ladies. The only one who are good at least of today's generation was a British Girl Group called Girls Aloud, one of the Members Cheryl Cole was a Judge on The X Factor and the US Version before Nicole Scherzinger took her place.
