  • it impossible to make socialism/communism work. The Soviet Union,East Germany,North Korea.?All oppressive failed experiments? If it were a football manager on its past performances, it would be consigned to the dust bin of history.

  • The IS were not 'alone' in appreciating the situation and warning of the limitations of the postwar upswing, and in fact the IS did very little to explain its ACTUAL development. You do yourself no favours claiming that there were simply those who saw the Soviet Union as a 'workers state' and those who regarded it as 'state capitalist' and nothing in between. The somersaults Cliff had to do in order to identify the Soviet Union as capitalist were frankly bizarre. The IS is not based on Marxism.

  • The horthyite fascists were never exterminated en masse and they didn't just disappear after the war. These clowns wanted to overthrow socialism in Hungary. Thank GOD they met the tanks of the USSR. Same with the East Germans. Fuck it, these days they prefer the GDR.
