@jovelnom Considering that this is a group of ecologists and mammalogists, I would have to assume that they have studied these creatures thoroughly and are well aware of the risks. Firstly, gorillas are extremely docile until provoked in most cases, in fact if you don't stand taller than the alpha male you are usually safe. Th silverback did not want to fight (prepared to yes) but mostly that was his way of saying "Back the hell up." So no, they wouldn't just say gorillas are dangerous.

@crowman131 Yeah if they attacked us they would wreck us, but they are gentle giants. Its probably the animal with the most unfair reputation on the planet with King Kong and all the other violent gorillas in pop culture which is really shameful because we are the ones that have killed them never the other way around (fact: there has never been a recorded death of a human by a gorilla).
