http://www.bat-blog.com Here's a unique piece of Batman History. This is a Public Service Announcement for the U.S. Department of Labor using the characters from the 1966 Batman TV Show. It features Batman ( Not Adam West but a unknown actor ), Robin ( Burt Ward ), & Batgirl ( Yvonne Craig ). The basic message was about "equal pay for women". Not sure of the exact air date but I think it was the early 1970's. For more wacky Batman-related news be sure to check out http://www.bat-blog.com

That's only close to being true because of the Lilly Ledbetter Act, which politicians in certain states are trying to circumvent. Until the 1960's female teachers were paid less than males. Part of this is because they were more likely to be placed in elementary and men in high schools. This was a social expectation, and it was still difficult for women to gain access to the education required for it. There are still industries where women are paid less for the same work.

How about experience? Robins also done the job LONGER then she has. Time to earn raises. Her ass should be at a lower payrate when you think about it. Live Batgirl but what a bitch

Your dates for this PSA sound right, but I always thought Control's robot agent was named "Hymie."
Maybe it's a generational thing.

First of all, I don't think there's much money in the crime fighting business, and second of all damnit, just defuse the bomb!

I've read that it was Dick Gautier, the actor who played "Jaime" the Robot on Get Smart and also did the voice of Rodimus Prime/Hot Rod on the Transformers TV season that debuted right after the Transformers animated movie.
This PSA was done in the early 1970s, long after the Batman TV series had been cancelled. Other uploaders say '74. It aired on TV into at least the late 1970s/early 1980s.

Wait, Robin doesn't get payed anything. Granted he does get free room and board, but then again, Batgirl lives with her dad, so she also gets free room and board. Is Batman stealing money from Barbra Gordon?
