If you are an artist who's story challenges the status quo, you are going to face resistance. If you have a political vision or image you will have to find have to find people who support your music and your cause. As a female in a male dominated industry my experience has not been that others are not always interested in being supportive. Others who are from disadvantaged backgrounds have faced vicious envy from their peers hence the popularity of the word "hater" from urban environments.

@ladybass How fantastic. I love that artists are evolving. So we don't disagree!
What my video is talking about is how commitment we are to what we say we are and how we'll we communicate it.
As for people being haters ... its not my experience of people.
I find people will support and embrace something they find value in.
If how you communicate your story of 'why' you are involved in music has some personal value for them .... you may find much more support than ever before.
