In 2004 Bullseye Records of Canada released "It Was 40 Years Ago Today: A Tribute To The Beatles" featuring 75 tracks/artists performing an assortment of hits from the Beatles songbook. Here's a track by the "Helium Kids".
I called my brother-in-law up and said we should collaborate. He said he'd love to do bedtracks at his home studio and if I liked it, could sing the track. I picked "Fixing A Hole" and knowing he was an XTC fan, had him do it like early Andy Partridge. XTC's original name was The Helium Kids...so we chose that moniker to appear on the CD. We recorded the vocals at Harlow Sound in Rexdale. Engineered and mixed by Brian Gagnon.
