  • Took me about 30 minutes to put this kit together last night. How long did it take to make this animation?

  • You found one? (or found the old one you had as a kid?) Cool!

I'm not exactly sure, but it probably took me like 5 hours to put together. Lots of re-rendering along the way as I put each piece into place to make sure it ends up in the right place. Then there are a bunch of test renders of the animation to see how it looks with different techniques, speeds, paths, etc.

That's just the set up phase. The rendering of frames took about 3 days for this video.

  • Its very good, but I would like some musik :D

  • Hmmm, what kind of music? I'll see if I can come up with some suitable music and reupload. Thanks for viewing!

  • I just got a vintage kit on ebay. It was my first lego kit I ever got. I was never able to complete it because my baby brother kept breaking it and losing the peices. I still hate him to this day. So, over 25 years later, I finally finished it!

  • LEGO should do something like classic space again, and not with alien enemies in every set. The enemies could at least be humans like Blacktron.

  • just put this together tonight. took about an hour. lots of delays in finding the pieces in a mix pile though. awesome animation!!!

  • This was the first large Lego set I got (for a Birthday I think) Loved it and amazingly still have it. All my masses of space lego is neatly sorted into tool boxes with similar bricks in their own compartment i.e. lights, computers, wheels etc (yes I'm a geek!)

  • and go Janeway!

  • "Starfleet" and "Voyager"

    go NCC-74656!

  • that is awesome

  • Yes! I just stumbled upon the Galaxy one, and I posted that I got a similar one (but not as big). This was it! And it had this little research thing in the back you could drop off.

THANK YOU for reminding me of my childhood. This is simply wonderful!!!

  • Out of all the lego sets I've ever owned this one is my all time favorite.
