Off to the Amish for a Carriage Horse for Central Park, ARA's, aspca, hsus, peta LIE

The purpose of this vid is to show the simple transition from rural to urban. Our horses are first hand selected by expert Amish horsemen from their stock and then the final selection is made by us as to which horse is most suitable. Many of the Carriage Horses of Central Park come through the capable and experienced hands of the Amish and Mennonite farmers of Lancaster. I have purchased 3 of the 5 horses I own from the Martin family in Fivepointsville. The first one, Finbar, now retired, was sold to me over 20 years ago.

PS You are correct, I've never visited NY although my wife has. Good food, loads of pollution, too many people and a very good zoo (and museums).

@The391956 The horses could cost anywhere from $500 at auction, unproven and history unknown, or $2500-5000 for a trained good looking horse with a known history. The amish buggy , used, should be $1500-2000, new harness will run $600-800 per horse. Cost to feed depends on your situation, if it's your land, budget $5 a day per horse in the winter for hay, grain, water heater etc. A little less in the summer if you don't have to buy hay. The farrier and the vet are gonna run another $2500/H

I have a few a question. If I was to buy a horse or 2 horses

and get a horse buggy like the Amish have that are inclosed.

How much would this cost me to get. I am thinking of getting

my horse and buggy to go on a fund raiser.

Would a buggy fit in a garage or a normal house. Can a buggy

be made wheelchair accessible if that is needed. Hoping to

be less adaptions then with a Van. I don't need it but

some friends will who are wheelchair bound.Cost to feed horse?
