  • It's quite hard to compare Rudess and Moore

Moore was a more melodic and atmospheric, and then fitted quite well into DT's golden years(I&W, Awake) since those album is probably the "proggiest" it ever got in their career

Rudess is more "crazy" and jazz influenced and is therefore more suiting for the metal era in DT's career, in albums like SDOIT and ToT.

Both are good, but if DT REALLY wants to make "another I&W" like they promised when they made "BCASL", they need Kevin Moore.

  • Rudess can't arrange stuff like this. He hast since Scenes of a memory. They need to kidnap moore and bring him back to DT somehow...

  • beautifull

  • nice work :) why not use a layered strings + piano ? that tone should've been more evident (electric pianos also have this hmm?)

  • ok, who the fukk disliked this -.-

  • @BananaWarrior1993 Yes... and in cabinets, drawers, and other small dark places where he practices bass...

  • @thygodofrock190 That is very racist! Just because John is Asian he should fit in a refrigerator?

  • @ceramiclion Maybe John Myung could hide in Moore's refrigerator and execute a surprise bass solo when Moore decides to get some milk

  • @Ghaztromat : True. Though, I must say that SFaM with Rudess was very successful, mostly I think for his focus on the piano feel of his skill, which is very nicely suited to a prog sound. His melodies in BCaSL were somewhat simple and only reflected ballads, as opposed to things like Dance of Eternity that were wild and classically styled.

  • well done!! You should have sung on it!

  • That was great man, very good job!

  • Not great but good. At 1.25 you should play the lead line one octave lower, the songbook is wrong about that part. Listen to the original.
