This is the simple fix we discover at our store. The trouble is that there is not enough pressure on the trackpad cable to the board. Just add some padding for the fix.

  • Yes this should help

  • The goal is to get the battery to press against that plate, pushing it in so contact is made in the back of the trackpad. This can be done without removing the plate at all. Tape something to the back of the battery that presses the plate in when in place. Or a small dab of expoxy, I used JB Weld, on the plate just above where the sim card rests, which will press the plate inward when the battery is against it.

  • Some one please tell me how i can tighten the track pad it feels loose n wobbly not tooo wobbly but anoying i want to tighten it plz help thank you

If it moving from side to side it could be damage housing. I would try to remove it and see if it sits better in the housing once you put it back together.

  • Glad this trick has help out everybody.

  • Since I didn't have any of those tools, and was nervous to take my phone apart, I tried to place the extra padding on the outside of the plate but in the same place and it worked! Essentially, take out battery and sim, you will see a little black square right there on the silver plate. Put something little there, something that will stay put. When you slide the sim back in it will press the object you inserted down, thus creating the pressure on the pad that you need. no need to unscrew!
