This is a 3d reconstruction of the room where the great spanish artist Diego Velazquez painted his masterpiece in 1656. It shows a large room in the Madrid palace of King Philip IV of Spain, and presents several figures, most identifiable from the Spanish court. The work, preserved in the Museo del Prado in Madrid, is one of the most widely analysed paintings in the world. The fascination it evokes is undoubtedly due to the complex and enigmatic composition raises questions about reality and illusion, and creates an uncertain relationship between the viewer and the figures depicted.

Software used: Autodesk Maya 2011; Final cut pro
Music: "Primavera" from the album "Divenire" by the italian pianist Ludovico Einaudi
