  • it's motherboard not system board.

  • If you follow this video 3 things will happen to your build:

    1) your cpu will fry crispy after post because of missing thermal paste

    2) you wont be able to install windows because of the missing jumper on 1st hdd

    3) you will have poor air circulation because of hanging wires blocking the intake

i'd give this video a very generous 6/10

  • This Mainboard is a ECS Elitegroup K7S5A. RIGHT ??

  • So the long black cord can be used for:

hard drives and disc drives. Will it course problems or damage to the computer?

  • @cankarales It is generally called a Motherboard, however it can also be referred to as the System Board, the Mainboard, or(rarely) the Logic Board.

  • 2) Many hard drives set master or cable select when there is no jumper, or the jumper is on dummy pins. Also, so long as the BIOS doesn't care - Windows won't care, and in modern systems, the BIOS usually doesn't care.

    3) a few cables are not going to decrease airflow that much, and besides, it really doesn't matter how much air you pull in, so long as the fan can blow the hot air away from the heatsink.

  • @bmw2go11 1) 90% of heatsinks that come with processors come with thermal compound already on them. Also, the processor will not "fry" or be "crispy" due to lack of thermal paste - in fact, you could use the system fully without any heatsink or fan at all, however the system would be extremely slow, and would more than likely melt/damage other components, and/or cause a fire.

  • how can i reset my whole system back to first time it was installed without reinstall it???? do i need to change the system card??

  • @bmw2go11 actualy if you're smart enought to know these things and repair them it will be ok.

  • @bmw2go11

Thanks.. I just hope I'm not one of the unlucky ones and get some sort of faulty item

  • @VulcanXL yes i believe 95% of the time it's preapplied on the heatsink.

good luck with building your computer!

  • @bmw2go11

    e

Good.. I ordered my processor new and it says it comes with the heatsink and fan.. I'm guessing it is pre-applied.
