yes, wida dancers do often have a different style and technique, and it seems people forget that wida is a young organisation. the progress that its made from nothing in such a short time is pretty remarkable, and it can only be improved upon. I, for one, dance for the sheer love of it and that would be the case whether i was in wida or ac, and im sure thats the case for everyone in this video too :)

@IrishSbordordMusic I believe CRDM is open platform, as is WIDA, so they can compete together if they like.

Wow, no comparison to An Comisiun. Just a completely different style and technique. I'm sure, however, that WIDA will develop in the coming years, and the dancers will improve a lot. This dancing is basically just a lot like An Comisiun's dancing from 15 or 20 years ago.

less pageantry and more focus on the dancing???? im sorry but that is absolutely not true. ac is not a big beauty pageant. are you thinking that because we wear makeup and fancier dresses means that all we care about is looks?? no. thats not how it is. we do that because its fun. the dresses are stylish and gorgeous and sparkly and i enjoy getting to wear makeup for the special occasion. for me, thats just another little awesomely awesome part of irish dance..its so fun!

My daughter was there in that parage - tired with a huge blister on her foot. Think most of kids were knackered after a hard weekend's dancing. She's very young and it was late too - but she lives for dancing. I don't really care if you think she wouldn't qualify for their set in Prelim in AC - so what? To me, she's the best :)
