shaolin baji quan (八極拳)

The Baji Quan was created by Lai Lantian during the 47th year of Kangxi emperor's reign. He came into the Song Mountain Shaolin Temple and interchanged wushu skills with two Zen masters, Ru Rong and Ru Lang, and then instructed the Shaolin monks in Baji Quan. Passed down from generation to generation, it has become the Shaolin Baji Quan.

This version is very different from wu's baji quan or others family of Mengcun. It seems a wushu version of it!

too stiff for a bajiquan...I don't think the monks really into BajiQuan; they are probably just remembering the forms and moves as it requires in BajiQuan Forms.

@6arcsn1sky interestingly theres 3 main styles of baji the hebei style which is prolly most pure the shaolin style is mixed with lohan n the wudang style is mixed with tai chi

@SoundwaveSuperior373 Yeah, I started to realize about it since I read somewhere that Liu Yun Qiao, Li Shu Wen's last student, saw the sameness with bajiquan and Chen style taichi.

@6arcsn1sky there has been no evidence the hui invented bajiquan just the hui community practice it doesnt mean they invented it ppl who says hui invented baji r just muslim propagandists tryin to associate islam with kung fu shaolin baji is actually a mix of baji and lohan
