@CenturianRule Nuts, no. Liberal, yes.

I think it has a large appeal to gays because of the loss. The real women were tossed aside in part because they didn't follow the rules of being an obedient wife and would be wife and stop perusing their passions. Gay people feel like they could lose it all (family, friends, support) if they don't conform as well. These women lost it all, and being at the top of American society at the time; they had plenty to lose.

These two women are monumentally talented. Ebersole is so versatile.

LMAO.....i was thinking the same thing......btw, im gay.....thanks for the laugh...

Why would you be offended that something has gay appeal unless you're offended by gays? That is not an insult to you, unless you are in the closet and not coming out anytime soon. Grow up.

don't deny it..you are VERY gay!

Accept it -- like the fact you like women -- you've got good taste and you're stuck with it. I know that's bound to seem gay to many people ...
The reason is exactly that disenfranchised and the lack of appreciation of a gem an undervalued person is why. Gays too are undervalued and yet they have so much to offer yet are heged in the grey garden of homophobia in a heterosexist world.

I don't think a person has to be gay to like 'gay' things. I think we all need to get over it already. I'm gay! Yay! You're not! Whoopee doo! I'm tired it already. Why does it have to be suck (Freudian typo?) a big deal all the time? Who cares? Let's get on with our lives.
