I know this is a dumb question....but what exactly do you need to be a YTP?? like how many subscribers etc etc...n how does that whole payment thing work??

Not sure. I mean I know with Google Adsense in general you're allowed to share how much you make but not your stats such as ctr. But I'd have to say if Google is doing it, it isn't illegal.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it would be breaking youtube terms and conditions if partners said exactly how much they are making. with adsense alone for instance you are allowed to share how much you are making, but I read somewhere that you weren't supposed to give specifics about youtube partners profits.
the only numbers I ever heard thrown around was in a "whatthebuck" interview like a year ago where he said he was making over 100k a year. Probably passed 200k+ now though.

is that in anyway illegal? Not being able to say what you are making? I know the government can find out. But is the public entitled to know?

@SouceBalls btw yes i can believe that about M.Buckley WTBS. He was probably making more than that a year ago. He has been less active lately. Although could still be making money (royalties) on old videos.
